A managed service, not just software

Adept™ is more than a tool you log into. Our requirements department builds your library, follows the regulators and standards bodies that matter to you, and keeps everything current. You get the software and the people behind it.

  • Requirements library

    All laws, regulations, standards and customer requirements that apply to you, in one library. Each document is broken down into single requirements. The library is kept up to date by our own requirements department. We import directly from sources such as Lovdata, Standard Online and DNV, and we import your own documents from PDF, Word and other formats.

  • Change alerts and version comparison

    When a regulation or standard is updated, you get an alert. Adept™ shows what is new compared to the previous version, clause by clause. One click takes you from the changed requirement to every procedure that refers to it.

  • Link to your management system

    Requirements are linked to the procedures and documents you already have, for example in SharePoint or Landax. You keep your management system. Adept™ keeps the requirements current and shows how they are covered.

  • Compliance assessment, responsibility and actions

    For each requirement you record whether you comply, and how. Responsibility and actions are assigned to the right person or department. Nothing depends on one person’s memory.

  • Dashboards, reports and audit trail

    Dashboards show status per site, per unit and per requirement set. Reports can be handed straight to an auditor or inspector. Every decision and action is logged.

  • Unlimited users

    The licence covers your whole organisation. Everyone who needs to see or work with requirements can do so. No per-user fees.

The Adept™ AI Engine

From searching for compliance answers to approving them.

We have built AI into Adept™ since 2023. The AI Engine works alongside your team. It translates, tracks changes, finds evidence, evaluates and suggests actions. It doesn't change your data on its own unless you tell it to. Every answer cites the exact passage it is based on.

You decide, for each unit, how far it goes: from suggesting only to doing the work for you. Each step includes the ones before it. Human decisions are never overwritten.

  1. Suggestions

    The AI suggests, you decide. Change summaries, evidence with source references and draft assessments with a written justification. You apply them yourself.

  2. Relevance

    The AI assesses which requirements apply to the unit, and says why.

  3. Documentation

    The AI connects each requirement to the procedures that cover it.

  4. Compliance

    The AI sets the compliance status, with a justification and a source reference.

  5. Actions

    The AI turns gaps into actions in Adept™, with the context filled in.

What the AI does, step by step

Every step leaves a source reference behind. You decide how much the AI does on its own.

  1. Translate

    Source documents arrive in the issuer’s language. The AI translates them so your team can work with them. The original text is always one click away, and the original is what applies.

  2. Track changes

    When a regulation or standard is updated, the AI writes a plain-language summary. It explains what changed and why it matters for your operations. Example: “Non-routine activities such as maintenance and emergency response are now explicitly in scope. Review your risk assessment and any procedures that refer to clause 6.1.2.”

  3. Assess relevance

    The AI assesses whether a requirement is relevant for your company and your unit. Every assessment comes with a rationale you can read and check. Example: a requirement on scaffolding is marked not relevant for a drilling rig, because the regulation itself excludes offshore petroleum activities.

  4. Find evidence

    Pick any requirement, and the AI searches your management system for the procedures that cover it. It ranks them – recommended, suggested, related – by how well they match. Each hit cites the paragraph in your document.

  5. Connect and evaluate

    The AI drafts a compliance assessment with a justification and a source reference. You apply it yourself, or let the AI apply it, at the step you have chosen for that unit.

  6. Close gaps

    When a requirement has no coverage, or only weak coverage, the AI says so. It suggests a specific action: create a new procedure, update an existing one, or assign an owner. The action is created in Adept™ with the context already filled in.

AI-assisted compliance has to be auditable. Ours is.

    Every AI answer cites the exact passage in your document that supports it.

  • Human control

    You choose for each unit how far the AI goes, from suggesting only to setting compliance status and creating actions. Approval is a separate step: the Approved flag can only be set by a person, and human decisions are never overwritten.

  • Audit-ready record

    Every AI run is logged. Sourced, traceable, ready for any auditor.

  • Your own environment

    The AI features run in your own, separate environment. Your documents are not shared with others, and the AI is not trained on your data.

Adept™ connects to your management system. We can connect to most management systems, as long as they have an API and readable procedures or processes. The AI features use this integration to read your procedures and find evidence.

Legislation from any country

The library already covers Norwegian, Danish, UK and Australian legislation, plus IMO, ISO, DNV and NORSOK. For the UK this includes HSE and MCA. For Australia it includes WHS legislation, NOPSEMA and AMSA. New jurisdictions are added by our requirements department, typically together with the first customer in that market.
